How to Survive a Long Flight

Vacations are great but flights are not, especially very long ones that take up to 13 hours or more. Aside from stiff joints and muscles, you’ll also have to fight boredom since the activities you can do to entertain yourself onboard a plane is limited. Yet still, by preparing ahead and exploring all possible activities, you can avoid a boring flight.

Here are some tips on how you can survive a long flight.

Music. Bring your mp3 players and headsets in your carry on bag. Remember to put as many favorite songs in your memory to last you through your long flight. Just be wary of rules against using gadgets at certain times during a flight.

Read a Book. Ipads or tablet PCs can come quite handy during a long flight. Armed with a book reader app and several ebooks, you can spend your whole flight engrossed in a favorite bookseller author. Or, if you are on travel for business, it’s the best time to catch up on some business-related readings and reports.

Portable Memory Pillows. If you’d rather sleep during your flight but find your seating arrangement less conducive, bring your own portable/handy memory pillow. These types of pillow can help you avoid stiff joints and muscles, back and neck.

There’s no escaping a long flight especially when you are looking forward to an extended vacation in one of those far-flung places you’ve finally had the nerves to go to. But long flight or not, there are things you can do to avoid boredom or the usual stiff muscles and bones.
